Can I create custom leave types?

How do employees request leave?
Employees open the Employee Portal on their phone, go to the leaves section, and submit a request with the leave type, dates, and an optional reason. You see the request on your dashboard and can approve or decline it.
Do leave days affect payroll?
Yes. When you run payroll, Timekeep checks for approved leaves during the pay period. Paid leave types (like vacation leave) count as regular pay. Unpaid leave types reduce the employee's pay by the equivalent daily rate.
Can employees see their remaining leave balances?
Yes. The Employee Portal shows each employee their leave balances by type. They can see how many days they've used and how many they have left without asking you.
